Serving Opportunities

The faithfulness of this team is vital for helping make Harvest a house of prayer in preparation for our church family experiencing the fullness of His grace, truth, and power during our times of corporate worship together.  Join us in Room 204 at any of the following prayer times:

  • Saturdays: The prayer room is open for pre-service prayer from 4 pm to 4:30 pm
  • Sundays: A leader facilitates pre-service prayer from 8 am to 8:30 am, and prayer during both services from 9 am to 10 am or 11:15 am to 12:15 pm.

Whether you are able to join us for the entire time or even just a few minutes, your involvement in this team is strongly encouraged and greatly appreciated. The Register Prayer Team is also formed from supporters of this ministry.

Though evangelism is at the forefront of all Harvest GO Team ministry, the Extreme GO Team is committed to “going the distance” together into the community each week through high volume tracting, one-to-one witnessing, and open air preaching. This team also reaches out to our community in conjunction with each major holiday of the calendar year. The Extreme GO Team meets for prayer each Friday at 6:30 pm in Room 112 at Harvest before hitting the streets of downtown London from around 7:30 pm to 10 pm. Ideally, participants should have been equipped in biblical evangelism through any of the various Harvest training programs. Personal mentoring is also available for those who commit to serving as a regular weekly member of this team.

Founded in 1984, the Ark Aid Street Mission continues its mandate of serving disadvantaged Londoners who live on the margins of society. Though daily meal provision is still the flagship ministry of “The Ark”, there are many ways that Christ-followers can share the compassion of Christ through serving on an Ark Aid Gospel Outreach “GO” Team. Currently, these opportunities are available on the first Friday of every month and various Sundays as well.

Men’s Mission services in London opens doors of hope to those seeking emergency shelter and support, by offering safe shelter, food, and clothing by facilitating rehabilitation as needed, in an atmosphere of compassion. With so many men across London in need, there are countless ways that Christ-followers can share the compassion of Christ through serving on a Men’s Mission Gospel Outreach “GO” Team. This outreach event also facilitates a great opportunity for older men to mentor younger men in reaching out to others with the love of Christ. These opportunities are available on the first Sunday of every month at Men’s Mission Services (459 York Street).

Harvest serves at the Dearness Home the second Sunday of every month for a 9:45 am church service. Ministry roles needed include: helping hands (assisting some seniors to and from the service and helping them with their chorus books), music (individuals to play music – keyboard is available – and sing), along with a worship leader to lead. This opportunity to serve is available to young and old alike. The service is usually over by 10:30 am, so it is possible to get to the 11:15 am service at Harvest.
