We know some people won’t come to a church that meets in a school because it doesn’t seem like a real church so we assume our attendance will go up when we have a permanent home.

We cannot setup our lobby, auditorium, entrance and parking the way we want and the way we think would be optimal to enhance what happens on a Sunday.  And before we can do anything we have to consider our landlord’s requirements or conditions.  Plus more co-ordination with outside parties is involved and thus more limitations on the growth of ministries.

In the Children’s ministry, it means not having the classrooms set up to meet our needs. Every Sunday someone has to come in and remove student desks so that we can replace that with toys. Mats have to be set out each week so that Toddlers don’t hurt themselves on the hard floor. Classrooms cannot be outfitted in a permanent way in colours and decorations that could spark a child’s imagination about the Bible. Limited storage space means we can’t always do the crafts and activities that we would like to do.

We are limited in what we can do in our non-Sunday ministries due to lack of our own equipment and facility.  Things like worship elements are so hard or impossible to do due to having to transport and setup musical equipment every time.
