John Klassen
Elder
As an elder, what shapes my thoughts? The Word of God, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the Power of the gospel message. As a shepherd of Harvest Bible chapel my thoughts are frequently filled with our people. I pray for them constantly. Are they being well fed? Do they feel safe? Are they growing in the"surpasing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord"?Phil.3:8. Are we seeking together to be Kingdom Players? What a joy it is to be a servant along side my brothers and sisters in Christ and to see God's hand at work amongst us.
And now for some trivia about John:
Quick take
: Married over 30 years, have 3 married daughters, and one beautiful granddaughter.
Born
: Feb 4, 1959
I hope heaven includes
: tropical islands and endless motorcycle roads.
I'd like to say to the people of Harvest
: Make one of your desires to be striving for unity in the spirit of God, by feeding on His word daily and spending intimate moments with their Lord in prayer.
Things I do not want to live without:
Peanut butter
Love to:
live in the Carribbean
Things I am thankful for
: God and Jesus and His death and sacrifice for us. A wonderful wife, loving children and health and vitality
Passion
: helping people in need, by being the very hands and feet of my Saviour.
My education
: Fanshawe College graduated as a Respiratory Therapist. Licensed representative with Primerica Financial Services since 1996, with a Life insurance and Mutual Fund License.
High
: Celebrating milestones with my wife. My new career as a transit operator for the city of London, since April 2006.
Low
: Changing careers several times (many great adventures seeing God's leading and faithfulness but sometimes very faith-stretching for me!).
