Home - New to Harvest? - Leadership - Rod Bray
ElderRod and Connie have been blessed with a wonderful family: Eldest daughter, Sarah, is married to Steve Greydanus; they, in turn, have been given  (so far) two wonderful children, beautiful, petite Halle, and smiling, sturdy Knox.  Youngest daughter Siohban is  currently studying Fine Arts at Fanshawe College and volunteering with ESL (English as a Second Language) families.  All adult members of the family are actively involved in various ministries at Harvest including Set Up Team, Worship Team, Greeters, Small Group leadership, and Children's Ministries.

Rod is a partner in a small Software Engineering business and Connie is a secondary school principal with the Thames Valley District School Board.

Rod and Connie grew up in rural Ontario and in many ways still consider themselves to be "country folk" though they have both been in London since coming here to go to university.  Connie was raised in a Christian home but Rod came to saving faith as a young adult - thankful for the prayers of those who never gave up on him.

Rod loves to lift weights and has been described by his son-in-law Steve as "spry".  Rod is still considering a response.

Some little known facts about Rod:

Born: In London, though I left as a toddler (only to return as a university student).

Little-known facts about me: I regularly got beat up in elementary school.
My life's aphorism: Stay in school, study hard and someday you'll understand the meaning of words like "aphorism".

I'd like to say to the people of Harvest: It is an honour to being doing life with such a fantastic group of believers.  You have been and continue to be an immense blessing to us.  If I could encourage anyone in something it would be  - make the vertical relationship in your life a priority. James 4:8a; Matt 6:33

Things I do not want to live without: God's purpose in my life, our wonderful family and the community of believers we have here at Harvest.

Hope to someday hear:
Have you lost weight?

My family:
Is the most important thing to me here on earth.

My education:
It happened in spite of me - largely through the efforts of dedicated teachers like my wife, Connie.

High:
Our wedding, the birth of our children, welcoming a son-in-law into our family, the birth of our grandchildren, the growth of our family in the Lord

Low: Seeing people head into a lost eternity

Purpose: To be used by God in any way that He desires.  To worship Him all the days of my life.  To disciple those He places in my life.
