Children's Ministry Supervisor
I was born in London Ontario, and grew up in the same house my whole life until I married my best friend Bradley just over 8 years ago now. I attended church my whole life and committed my life to Christ at a young age. During my childhood years I learned about God and Jesus all the time, but my understanding of the love of the Father and the consequence of sin really came together when I had a child of my own. That the Father sent His son, to pay the price that I deserve for my sin.
As long as I can remember I have actively been involved in any area that needs help: Children, Food, Youth, Young Adults, DVBS, Worship, and a variety of Administration and Planning roles. Can you tell my spiritual gifts are help and administration? One thing that I have learned through all these serving roles is that God energizes you when you are using your spiritual gifts.
Its amazing to look back and think, that I was fortunate enough to be part of the original thirty people that started meeting for Bible Study in 1999, and praying whether God was wanting to plant a new church in London. It was in 2000 that ‘SouthWest Community Church’ was born which eventually became Harvest Bible Chapel London. I have seen the church grow, shrink, and change. I have no doubt that we serve an awesome God, and I wouldn’t want to be doing this without Him.
Quick take:
Honestly, I don’t know what this question means
Born:
November 5th in London, Ontario
Little-known facts about me:
1) My biggest fear is dying in a car accident 2)I worked as a telemarketer for 3 ½ years 3) I never had pets growing up, so I use to have an imaginary poodle
I hope heaven includes:
Comfy PJs and chairs. And, don’t forget the biggest plate of Nachos that you have seen (of course chicken/not beef)
My life's aphorism:
I was not sure what aphorism means, according to ‘wikipedia’ In modern usage an aphorism is generally understood to be a concise statement containing a subjective truth or observation cleverly and pithily written. I’ll just leave it at that.
Things I do not want to live without:
God, Bradley (or as you know him Brad), James and Elle.
Hope to someday hear:
Well done, good and faithful servant!
Most embarrassing moment:
I have no idea, but really would I be likely to share it here?
Most Exciting Moment/Trip:
Las Vegas trip with Bradley, and the in-laws, (we actually had our luggage show up – but that is another story) We would go back to Vegas in a heartbeat
Best childhood memory:
Summers at Manitoulin Island, where my parents camped, or March breaks often in Florida
My Education:
Fanshawe College Office Administration (from St. Thomas Campus as the London Campus was far too overwhelming)
High:
Sunday morning services
Low:
Every morning when the alarm goes off, my snooze button is for 9 min, and gets used frequently
Purpose:
All for HIS glory
