How will it impact our church and community if everyone we come in contact with is consistently hearing the Gospel and consistently experiencing the fully functioning Body of Christ? This is the mission of our "GO Team".

The Gospel Outreach Team (“GO Team”) is a group of Christ-followers commissioned and supported by Harvest Bible Chapel London to preach the Gospel while working together to serve the spiritual, emotional, and material needs of those in our community in accordance with the various gifts God has given each of us.

Why GOSPEL outreach?

“GOSPEL” outreach is outreach from the local Church that starts and ends with the Gospel as we serve those around us in Jesus’ Name. The Gospel we’ve been called to preach is the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ and the good works God gives us the grace and power to do are actually evidence of His resurrection and our reconciliation with Him.

The Purpose
The purpose of Harvest Bible Chapel London (HBCL) is to glorify God through the fulfillment of the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment (Matt. 28:19 / Matt. 22:37-39). Our mission as a team is to work together towards fulfilling HBCL’s purpose. Just picture how it will impact our church and community when everyone we come in contact with consistently hears and experiences the Gospel and the fully functioning Body of Christ.

The Process
In addition to bathing our efforts in prayer, there are three simple steps to equipping and deploying our GO Team to glorify God together in our community:

1. Equip everyone on our GO Team to biblically share the Gospel. We provide regular times of training to help our GO Team candidates “normalize” sharing their faith in all their personal relationships and beyond.

2. Equip everyone on our GO Team to know and grow in their giftings. We will help all GO Team members know and grow in their God-given ministry roles and giftings. The types of ministry roles needed on our GO Team include:

Evangelism: team members gifted in sharing the Gospel

Prayer: team members gifted to be continuously praying for the needs of the ministry

Follow-up: team members who connect with those encountered by our evangelism team via email, phone, or mail

Ministry: team members gifted to meet the practical needs of those encountered by our evangelism team

Counselling: team members trained and gifted to meet the emotional needs of those encountered by our evangelism team

Events: team members who research and organize GO Team outings.

Service: team members who provide practical services to those encountered by our evangelism team.

Youth: team members who serve to connect our HBC youth to the GO Team ministry.

GO Team table: team members who set up and run our information table on Sundays to field questions from Harvest London and any future GO Team members.

Media: team members who capture and produce videos and pictures of our GO Team outings and coordinate all aspects of online outreach.

Each team above works together in the context of the larger GO Team to serve the community on the street in their specific area of ministry and to equip the church to continue supporting us.

3. Deploy our GO Team to reach out with the Gospel and good works. Our GO Team ministry schedule has been developed to coincide with holidays, seasons, and community events. This will enable us to relationally reach out to the community with the Gospel and good works at various times throughout the year.
