We have announced that we would not like to spend above $750,000
for land. And all along our commitment has been to not place the
church in a position of extended debt so our goal for this entire campaign
has been to fund at least 50% of our cost by donations.
Is this going to always be possible? We are not sure but it is
our goal.
For the land we have already talked to some lenders and most don’t
like lending to churches or charities so basically we must put 60% down
on the land and could mortgage up to 40%. We would like to pay
100% for the land if God so provides.
Our plan has been – to ask the people of Harvest London to give generously
and sacrificially to the growth fund so we can have some money on-hand
to put an offer on land when something comes available. So we
look, we pray and we give and ask you to give.
WHEN the amount of money given matches the cost of a piece of property
which will meet our needs then we will act by putting an offer on the
land. Until the funds and land match up we won’t move.
So please consider giving a gift now toward our growth fund. We
are hoping that this fall we will have a viable piece of land to put
an offer on but we need cash in hand to do this.
But right now all the land which may be possible is selling for in the range of $1.3M to $1.8M so much prayer is needed.
