Showa was born in a devout Hindu family. His grandfather was a famous wizard of their village and villagers would come from far distances to see his grandfather for treatment. The words spoken by his grandfather were followed by the Hindu people in the village. Several family members of Showa became ill. Their grandfather’s healing treatments and rituals were not working, so the family went to a nearby village to see another wizard. This treatment did not work. In a last attempt, Showa’s family took all of their domestic animals, losing all their goats and buffalo, to give the sacrifice of blood to the Hindu gods, but not even this sacrifice healed their illness.
One day when they were coming from the temple in another village, they heard about the miracles of the Lord Jesus Christ and His great works. A man on the road told them of a church where they taught about this man from a book.
All the members of Showa’s family went to the church to find out who was this God who made all these claims the man spoke about. When Showa’s family entered the church they felt a peace and contentment of their situation like they had never known. The pastor spoke about Jesus as the true light, which enlightens everyone and he had come into this world. The book said that even though he was in the world and that the world was made through him, the world did not know him; not even his own people. But to all who did receive him who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. The pastor continued to read from the book and Showa’s family returned to the church every day to hear more.
After several weeks, Showa’s family accepted Lord Jesus Christ in October 1991. The pastor told them that if they trust in God for their sickness, they would be healed by God. Just as he said, they trusted in Jesus and he healed them. The sickness that the family had was removed.
Showa was baptized in February 1995 and married a Christian girl, Sushila. They have one daughter.
God called Showa into the ministry after his marriage to Sushila. He went to the capital, Kathmandu, for training and met Pastor Timothy of Harvest Bible Chapel Kathmandu. God has given Showa a heart for Dhading District, Nepal. In the city of Dhading Besi, Showa has shared the Gospel to many and few have received. But, some 60 persons have embraced Christ Jesus by faith and formed a fellowship.
On August 6, 2011 Harvest Bible Chapel Dhading – Dhading Besi will be planted.
Showa says, “My dreams and goals are to see Jesus save the people in my city. Many people do not believe and are dying. I pray that through the Word of God and the testimony of Christ in the believers at our church; people will believe in the true light, the One True God, His Son, Jesus Christ. This is my vision because God has given it to me.”
Dhading District is one of 75 districts in Nepal and home to over 400,000 Nepali people. Dhading Besi is its district headquarters. The word besi in Nepali means lowlands and the reason why many have settled here. It is a small town situated on the bank of two rivers. 80% of the district is farmland and 20%, forest. It is an important town and district in Nepal.

- Believers at Harvest Dhading Besi to be found faithful; worshiping, walking and working for Christ.
- Perseverance of the saints as they face tribulation, persecution and many challenges as a Christ-follower in Nepal; that their joy be complete as they abide deeply in Jesus Christ.
- Unsaved family, friends and Dharding District; to reject all other gods and believe in Jesus alone for their salvation.
