Milan was born into a Hindu family.  As a young man, he had many troubles in his home.  He was not satisfied with life and was very angry.  Two of his sisters died from serious sickness and his mother was also sick for most of his young life.  Milan was angry with the gods and refused to make the required sacrifices and visits to the temple.  This made his parents upset and fear for their family’s home, animals and health. 

 
One day, a man came to their region telling people about Jesus.  When the man visited Milan’s home and saw the condition of the family he had compassion on them and told Milan, “Don’t worry, trust in Jesus, he will give you everything you need to be content and peaceful and he is able to heal your mother if you truly believe and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ”.

 
Milan thought about this for several days.  The man had shared from the Bible about Jesus, his works, the words he had spoken and the claims he made about himself and the Father.  The man left a small booklet with Milan that explained God’s plan for salvation.  Milan read the verses in this booklet over and over and they seemed to satisfy him.

 
Milan found a church that taught from the Bible and after some time, accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord of his life.  He told his family about his decision and his mother saw the changes in Milan; so she too accepted Jesus.  She was later healed of her sickness.  Since this time, God has done many miracles in restoring Milan’s family and bringing all of them to salvation.

 
Milan married a Christian girl, Pavitra.  They have two children.  Milan has been a pastor for a few years, but disappointed in the condition of the church in Nepal.  He met Pastor Timothy of Harvest Bible Chapel Kathmandu and began working together to advance the Gospel in his home of Makwanpur District.  Today, there are more and 70 believers now in his town worshiping together.  Milan has finished the Harvest Training Center for Church Planting curriculum in Nepali and will transition his existing fellowship to Harvest Bible Chapel.

Harvest Bible Chapel Makwanpur – Bharta will launch on October 23.

 
Sr. Pastor Milan says, “I am a part of Harvest Bible Chapel because we have got many ideas and opinions for teaching the people who are not aware of God. I have got much encouragement, love and cares from Harvest Bible Chapel Kathmandu. So, I am a part of this family.  We are teaching our people to Worship, Walk and Work for Christ as we learn the Scriptures.  I expect God through my life to make me a very good example like him and take me along with his plans as his servant.”

 
Makwanpur District is a mountainous region of Nepal.  It’s 400,000+ people are adapt to living in harsh mountain ranges and conditions.  It is farmland only accessible by traveling through many rivers.  The area is deeply routed in traditional Hindu beliefs and customs and its people devout Hindus.  But, God being rich in mercy, because of His great love for the people of Makwanpur is mighty proving He is mighty to save.  People once in darkness are giving their lives to Christ.

• Pastor Milan Praja, his wife Pavitra and their two children.
• Believers of Harvest Makwanpur-Bharta to stand firm in their faith against the attacks of the evil one and persecution from villagers.
• New lives in Christ to be like trees, firmly planted by steams of water that yield its fruit in its season and in all they do, prosper.
• The Word of God to penetrate the hearts of the people who hear it proclaimed and for these people to reject all other teachings and gods to follow Jesus Christ.
