Home - Plugging In - News - Real Boys Read
From the time my kids were little, reading books has been a big thing in our house. Not just because I love to read, but also for the fact that for most of our Christian development, reading is a big deal. To me, reading is an important value because I don’t want anything hindering my kids from wanting to do devotions or read books that will help grow them spiritually. And has reading books, listening to books on tape, reading more books helped my kids turn into book worms? I don’t know. The jury is still out on that one.
Al Mohler has a good read from his blog on getting boys to read. He points to how others are trying to fix the problem. One of them is how teachers and librarians are off track when they want to pander to boys baser instincts in order to get them to start reading. Interesting stuff.
